Currently, the Vector Core can provide the following services to all members of the Chinese Institute for Brain Research, Beijing (hereinafter referred to as the CIBR), more types of the viral vector and more services will be added in the future. All services are arranged on a first-come, first-served basis, according to the time of receipt of service applications.

1.Viral Vector Service

1.1 rAAV Viral Vector Service

      ●Pre-made commonly-used AAV vectors

●Customized rAAV Viral Vector packaging and concentration

●Construction of pAAV plasmid

1.2 Lentivirus and Retrovirus Viral vector Service

●Customized Lentivirus or Retrovirus Packaging and concentration

●Construction of Lentivirus or Retrovirus vector plasmid

2.Shared library of experimental materials

●Purchasing plasmids and cell lines

●sharing plasmids and cell lines

3. Sharing of instruments and equipment and experimental space

●Sharing of BSL-2 lab and conventional experimental space

4.Other Service

●Maximum extraction of plasmid (Maxiprep)

●Mycoplasma PCR test

●Emergency supply of commonly used cell culture and molecular cloning reagents

     In order to improve service efficiency and avoid waste, the Vector Core needs to charge an appropriate fee for its services. The service charge standard is mainly based on the cost calculation of service items. At the same time, referring to the service charge standards of other units and companies, the largest discount is given to the members of the CIBR. In order to encourage an open and shared working environment, extra discounts are provided for services that agree to share experimental materials. The above service fee is not collected for profit, but only used to bear part of the daily operating expenses, reagent costs and instrument maintenance.      The Vector Core will count the number of services provided and service fees monthly based on the laboratory as a unit, and submit it to the finance after confirmation by PI or the person in charge of the laboratory, which will be collected by the CIBR.
